Girl Scouting wouldn't be available to girls in our Western North Carolina community if it weren't for our adult volunteers. They are the "lifeblood" of our organization.

Girl Scouts of Western North Carolina Pisgah Council is fortunate to have a strong core of volunteers who help to serve local Girl Scouts each year. However, we're always in need of
more volunteers.

A Girl Scout volunteer believes in the importance of providing girls with the knowledge and positive experiences to help them grow into responsible, caring adults.

Our volunteers work as troop/group leaders, co-leaders, Board members, helpers at special events, and many other positions that couldn't be filled by paid staff alone. The volunteer commitment can be as little or as much as an individual is able to contribute.

Our Council volunteers have the opportunity to see the "fruits of their labor," or their rewards of their work, in the accomplishments of young girls as they grow into outstanding women.

What's Involved with Being a Volunteer?

Being an adult volunteer is a very rewarding experience and important responsibility. Therefore, our Council requires that volunteers agree to attend orientation and educational courses appropriate to her/his position, which must be completed within six (6) months following the undertaking of the responsibilities.
