Gold & Silver Award
Girl Scouts Highest Awards
The steps to earning the highest awards are rooted in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and the three keys to leadership: girls discover themselves and their values and explore the world, connect with others locally and globally, and take action to make the world a better place. Learn more about the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Learn more about the new guidelines for the highest awards in Girl Scouting.
Girls can choose to use either the summer 2009 Girl Scout award guidelines or the previous “Go For It” guidelines to earn the award during the two-year transition period (summer 2009 through September 2011). Girls who choose to follow the previous “Go For It” award guidelines MUST complete their projects by September 30, 2011. Girls who have not yet begun work on their award should follow the new summer 2009 award guidelines.
The information packets, forms and adult guides listed below are the new Peaks to Piedmont materials which follow the summer 2009 Girl Scout award guidelines. If you need any information or materials related to the “Go For It” award guidelines, please contact Andrea Reavis or Emily Ward.
