Girl Scouts of Western North Carolina Pisgah Council is funded by the
following sources:
- Annual Campaign: Girl Scout families, staff, Board of
Directors, corporations, non-profit groups, and government grants
- Product Sales: The Girl Scouts of Western North
Carolina Pisgah Council's Cookie
Sale is held between January and March each year. Our Nut Sale
is held each fall.
- United Way: 12 United Ways provide 11% of the Council's
funding
- Membership: Each girl and adult pays $10 membership dues, all of
which goes directly to the national organization. Girl Scout troops maintain
financial independence, and members pay troop dues to help support troop
activities. Contributions to the Council help to maintain camp, underwrite
program and training costs, and provide services and materials to members
throughout the Council.
- Juliette Gordon Low Society:
The Juliette
Gordon Low Society is a network of friends who believe deeply in Girl
Scouting and its impact on girls.
