2010 Cookie Sale
Our Girl Scout Cookie Program is a girl program. Just as other Girl Scout programs are designed to teach girls specific life skills. The cookie program teaches girls skills including salesmanship, how to work as a team, organization, responsibility, money handling and the economics of supply and demand.
As a result of this program, girls, troops, Service Units, and the council raise vital funds necessary for the council to maintain properties and provide quality programs for the girls.
The cookie sale is a Girl Scout program to help girls grow strong in several important areas:
Girls learn to set goals, both personal and for the group, and to plan strategy to achieve those goals.- Girls develop management skills by planning strategy and motivating each other to achieve their objectives.
- Girls learn interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with a variety of potential customers about purchasing cookies.
- Girls grow in self-confidence and pride by successfully accomplishing goals that financially benefit the troop and the Council.
- Girls have FUN! In pairs and within their troops, girls enjoy the fellowship and opportunities to interact with friends and neighbors in the community.
Troops use funds earned through cookie sales to go on trips, fund troop meetings, attend events and buy their patches and badges. Also, the Girl Scout Cookie Sale is essential to the success of Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont Council.
GS Cookie Customers
Important cookie information:
- Girl Scout cookies freeze well. They will last up to a year in the freezer.
- Cookies are $3.50 a box within the 40-county area of Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont Council.
- Customers should pay for cookies upon delivery -- not at the time of the order. Girls are instructed not to accept payment until they deliver cookies. If you insist on paying for cookies when placing your order, be sure to get a written receipt showing the troop number, amount paid and cookies ordered.
- Customer satisfaction is a high priority. If you are not happy with your Girl Scout Cookie purchase for any reason, please contact the girl or troop from whom they were purchased for an exchange or refund. If you are not completely happy with your exchange or refund please contact the Product Sales Manager, Jeannie Brown at jbrown@girlscoutsp2p.org.
