Gwen Hughes
, co-chair of the Cookie Cook-Off Committee stated, “Many of the individuals who completed a ballot in favor of their favorite dessert reported trying desserts at 3 or more establishments. One individual sampled 6 different desserts! We thank this individual for her zealous appreciation of Girl Scout Cookies, but wish to note that the Council assumes no responsibility for weight gain resulting from over-sampling!”

Sim Cross, co-chair of the committee, reported that he estimates “over 2,000 desserts were sold during the 2006 Girl Scout Cookie Cook-Off. We are asking participating restaurants to submit their dessert recipe to the Council for inclusion in a Cookie Cook-Off Cookbook that will be available in time for the 2007 Cookie Cook-Off.”

“We’d like to offer special thanks to our friends at Adventures in Advertising/Biltmore Marketing, Gould Killian CPA Group, Rhett Grotzinger, Morrow Insurance, Roberts & Stevens Attorneys at Law, and Spaceplan Architecture, for their generous sponsorship of the 2006 Cookie Cook-Off, “ said Molly Keeney, CEO of Girl Scouts of Western North Carolina Pisgah Council.
