About Camp Pisgah...

Camp Pisgah
, property of Girl Scouts of Western North Carolina Pisgah Council, is located in Brevard, NC, just outside Pisgah National Forest and near the French Broad River. The American Camp Association (ACA)-accredited camp is situated on 160 wooded acres where wildlife abounds (to see for yourself, take a virtual tour (link above -- more information on our Virtual Tour below).

Camp Pisgah features the following: yurts (see photo at left) and cabins, Junior Olympic-size swimming pool, lake for swimming and fishing, horse stables, arts and crafts facilities, dining hall, climbing wall, and more.

Our resident camp provides girls with an opportunity to experience independence and learn new skills while improving other ones. Camp Pisgah is open to all girls, regardless of Girl Scouts membership. If you would be interested in working at resident camp, click here for an online application.

The following outdoor opportunities are open to all girls:

Walks & Picnics:
Provide an informal setting, especially for Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts, to explore the outdoors.

Hikes: Introduce girls to outdoor activities. They can begin working together in groups and learn the skills needed for more advanced outdoor activities.

Troop/Service Unit Camping: Troops or service units may camp at Camp Pisgah throughout the year in platform tents, cabins, or primitive tents. Approval of the Service Unit Manager or Property Manager is required for any camping experience on or off Council sites. Parent permission forms are needed.

Resident Camp:
Offers girls the opportunity to develop skills in various program progressions. Program descriptions, session dates, registration procedures, and other camp information can be found in the resident camp brochure, which is usually mailed to homes in mid-January.
